On how to help Indian villages with technology

Read an intersting article on Bridging India's digital divide with Linux today. Hope you all will like it too.

Nice to see technical advances going on back home.

Another thing that can help in Indian villages something like this Bolivia Solar Panel LED experiment.

I hope someone back home is listening..... is someone?

Love,

That's still something being developed for the army (who possibly have gr8er access to resources), but a little known news is that a group of techies including some students from IITM and from other colleges in bglr had been working for a few yrs to develop extremely low cost devices with software drawing inspiration from linux kernel, and such devices are being tested in some remote villages for use by farmers to do calculation, store data and maintain other inventories.
