hey -- you are losing your mind in the blind admiration of google, the online company that is in the forefront of savaging users's privacy, whether storing your emails for years after you close an account, or reserving the right to delete it while you have the account open, or installing its search on your desktop to take all your private information to online servers for good, or its compliance with china and other autocratic places to do their bidding. Your most private information is already out of your control, in google's guts, waiting to go anywhere at the flick of a switch -- accidentally or on purpose to meet a shortfall in some quarter or already delineated in a long-term plan.
