Hmm..but dont u think ki the Filmfare Shah Rukh pe "ruk" gaya tha...he turned out to be a big hogger!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that the Filmfare ppl were unfair to Farhan n Ashutosh coz they too made superb films like Lakshya n Swades(in order) and these were far better than Hum Tum that bagged so many of the awards(really not deserving) considering the fact that HT was a poor cousin(of the copy"cat" species) of a Holly flick!!!
I agree with Pranay that filmfare is more of a "popular" awards show than Bollywood's Oscars. Imagine the Oscars honouring movies like Spiderman 2. Sure, they were entertaining. But they didn't leave much of a mark. I wish movies like Swades,Lakshya and Yuva got more appreciation for their impressive themes and originiality. I also feel that Abhishek Bachchan did a much better job in Yuva than Shah Rukh did in Main Hoon Na. I mean,Shah Rukh literally sleep-walks through romantic and comedy roles. Its time we recognised younger actors for true performance-based roles.
