Invisibility Shields , Google, Firefox and Kenyan Linux-based Palmtops

Nature is reporting on an invisibility shield that uses electron effects to prevent objects from scattering light. Although they admit that this is not a one-size-suits-all solution, it has interesting implications in stealth, microscopy and other fields. Read the article for more.

In other news, BBC is reporting on a Kenyan school where kids are using linux based handhelds. Those kind of things make sense in India also.

Yet another article (from ZDnet) reports about how google is helping firefox. I don't mind them getting together :-).

P.S. All above references taken from slashdot ... really cool.
